MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville women's volleyball team posted one in the win column Saturday afternoon, capping off the day with a thrilling 3-2 match win over visiting Plattsburgh State on the Mustangs home court in Morrisville.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Host SUNY Morrisville capped off the day's volleyball action Saturday with a thrilling five set match win over visiting Plattsburgh on the Mustangs home court in Morrisville, pulling their record to 4-10 to date on the season.
• The Mustangs fell behind 26-24 in the opening set, before claiming wins in the next two for the 2-1 match lead.
• Plattsburgh earned the win in the fourth to force a decisive fifth set, where the Mustangs withstood a six-point service streak by Plattsburgh, claiming the match win in thrilling action by a 15-13 set score.
• Three posted double figures in kills for Morrisville, including Emily Huppee (Liberty Hill, Tex.) who recorded a team high 21 to go along with four aces, five blocks and nine digs on the day.
• Keelin Baker (Vestal, N.Y.) added 13 kills to go along with 11 digs, while fellow hitter Kathryn Dolan (Quincy, Calif.) came up with 10 huge swings for the Mustangs, adding five aces to the hosts scoring.
• Hannah Taylor (Goshen, N.Y.) collected 42 assists and 11 digs to contribute to the Mustangs win, while Kayci Olson (Cortland, N.Y.) added 15 digs across the match.
• Defensively, Kayla Sheasby (Hood River, Ore.) led the way with 30 digs.
• In the fifth set, Morrisville trailed 4-3 before an error gave Sheasby the service, rattling off five straight points to open the contest to an 8-4 margin.
• After a kill by Huppee to return the service to Morrisville, the junior went on to serve up four straight, including an ace, before Plattsburgh took over, pulling the contest to a 13-12 margin in favor of the hosts.
• A Plattsburgh service error brought the Mustangs to match point, but the Cardinals threw one down to make it a 13-14 set.
• Morrisville was able to put the match away on the ensuing serve, as Taylor set up Baker who crushed the ball to the center of the floor for the match win.
• Liya Girma led the Cardinas with 17 kills, adding 18 digs, while teammate Maggie Lyon added 11 to go along with Jeannette Ashong's 10 kills.
• Morrisville hit .126 across the match, while Plattsburgh collected a .174 hitting effort on the day.
