MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville field hockey team fell in non-conference action Saturday afternoon as the visiting Castleton Spartans posted a 10-0 victory on Drake Field in Morrisville.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Visiting Castleton University scored four first quarter goals and didn't look back as they collected a 10-0 non-conference decision over host SUNY Morrisville field hockey Saturday afternoon in Morrisville.
• Jenna Gutierrez (Syracuse, N.Y.) registered the loss in cage for the Mustangs, turning away 14.
• Castleton's Emily Harris led all scoring efforts with three goals, while six additional teammates collected scores, including Peyton Richardson who collected two to go along with an assist.
• Zoe Martin registered one stop in the win for the Spartans.
• Castleton took the early lead, netting their first of four at the 5:31 mark, before adding another at 7:50 to claim the 2-0 advantage.
• Two quick strikes found the visitors taking a 4-0 lead after the first quarter, netting goals at 12:16 and 13:01, before adding two more in the second for the 6-0 advantage at the half.
