MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville western equestrian team will be representing Zone 2 Region 3 in the tea competition at the IHSA Western National semi-finals in March, claiming the Regional Title while having five advance in individual classes.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Morrisville's western equestrian team continued their dominating ways, claiming the Regional Championship Title once again in their home riding arena, as they had three take home individual crowns and another two advance to the IHSA National Semifinals in March.
• Morrisville, who will be representing Zone 2, Region 3 in the team competition at the IHSA National Finals scheduled for March 18-19 in Findley, Ohio will see five riders compete in six classes at the IHSA semifinals.
• The top four teams, and top four riders will earn the chance to compete for the National title in May.
• Maggie Herbert (Jeffersonville, N.Y.) took home two regional crowns Sunday, topping the competition in the open reining and open western horsemanship classes.
• Jenna Tyson (Pottstown, Pa.) and Cassandra Gates (Elbridge, N.Y.) finished first and second in the level I western horsemanship class, Tyson claiming the crown.
• Hannah Crofut (North Bay, N.Y.) took home her first title in the rookie western horsemanship class and will be joined by Amelia Jaworski (Lafayette, N.Y.) who was the class runner-up at the IHSA semis.
