Mustangs Make It Seven In a Row With Win Over Lions



Morrisville, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville men's basketball team rallied in the first half to pick up their 4th conference win off the year as the Mustangs beat the Lions 98-93.  With the win the Mustangs make it 7 in a row as they improve to 8-2 overall.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
  • Halfway through the first half the Mustangs would find themselves down by 13 but would rally to go into halftime tied 52-52.  The Mustangs would shoot 37-71 for 52.1%,  while dominating in the paint as the Mustangs would finish with 56 points in the paint while the Lions would only score 26 points in the paint.
  • Shaheem Sanders (Schenectady, N.Y.) would come off the bench to score 26 points for the Mustangs, shooting 11-13 from the field and 4-5 from the free throw line.  Sanders also led the team with 6 rebounds.
  • Jakhi Lucas (Rochester, N.Y.) had a strong game for Morrisville as he finished with 19 points, 5 rebounds, and a team high 9 assists. 
  • Daimarr Miller (Syracuse, N.Y.) shoot 6-14 from the field for 13 points while Brandon Kulakowski (Brewerton, N.Y.) finished with 14 points. 
  • Jacob Works (Liverpool, N.Y.) shot 4-6 from the field and 3-3 from the free throw line for 11 points while also pulling down 3 rebounds for the Mustangs.

  • The SUNY Morrisville men's basketball team returns to action on Saturday December 16th when they travel to Keuka College.
