WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
  • Visiting Arcadia University buried three power play scores Tuesday afternoon to collect a 4-2 win over host SUNY Morrisville men's hockey on the Mustangs home ice in Morrisville.
  • The Knights, who were 3-for-4 on the power play, notched their first tally of the day just 3:03 into the contest after the Mustangs were whistled for tripping.
  • Morrisville pulled the contest even at the 1:45 mark of the second period as Logan Robins (Livonia, Mich.) notched his first collegiate score, slapping in the loose puck off the initial dish from Trevor Grasby (Holland Landing, Ont.) and Benjamin Lindberg (East Aurora, N.Y.).
  • Arcadia regained the lead six minutes later, though, again capitalizing on the power play opportunity, but that was short lived as the Mustangs tied the contest up at 10:48 with a power play score of their own, this time off the stick of Jacob Black (Fergus, Ont.).
  • Curtis Abbott (Belmont, Ont.) and Stevie Gerbis (Bradenton, Fla.) were credited with the assists.
  • The Knights put one in the back of the net at the 18:16 mark of the second to carry a 3-2 advantage into the final frame.
  • Starting the third with the extra skater from a Mustang carry over penalty in the second, Arcadia picked up their third power play score to claim the 4-2 lead that wasn't relinquished for the remainder of the contest.
  • Grant Linville (Edmond, Okla.) posted 22 stops in the loss in net for Morrisville.
  • Hayden Williamson posted the win, turning away 33 Morrisville attempts, as the Mustangs outshot the Knights 35-26.
