Morrisville, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville men's basketball picked up the win in their home opener as they took down Utica University 85-72.  The Mustangs would go into halftime down 41-39, but would come out strong in the second half as they would outscore the Pioneers 46-31 to pick up the win.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

• The Mustangs offense could not be stopped as they shot 52.9% during the game and shot an impressive 62.7% inside the three-point line.  The Mustangs would also dominate in the paint as they would finish with 56 points in the paint.
• Daimarr Miller (Syracuse, N.Y.)  would shoot 8-15 from the field, 2-6 from three, and 3-4 from the free throw line to lead the Mustangs with 21 points.  Miller would also finish with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
• Jakhi Lucas (Rochester, N.Y.) would also score double digits for the Mustangs as he would finish with 18 points on 7-16 shooting, 3-6 from behind the arc.  Lucas also finished with a team high 7 assists and 3 steals.
• Kareem Sanders (Schenectady, N.Y.) finished with a team high 7 rebounds to go along with his 14 points, while teammate Shaheem Sanders (Schenectady, N.Y.) shot 4-6 from the field for 8 points to go along with his 5 rebounds.
• Jordan Coard (Jamica, N.Y.) would come off the bench to shoot a perfect 5-5 to finish with 10 points.  Jon Corl (Bridgeport, N.Y.) also finished perfect on offense as he would go 2-2 from field and 2-2 from the free throw line for 6 points and 5 rebounds.
