OSWEGO, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville women's volleyball team battled SUNY Oswego on the road Tuesday night as they beat the Lakers 3-0.

THE BASICS:

• Final Score: Morrisville 3, SUNY Oswego 0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-23)
• Location: Laker Hall, Oswego, N.Y.
• Records: Morrisville 8-10, SUNY Oswego 3-11

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

• In the first match of the night the Mustangs would extend their lead to three times but all three times the Lakers would battle back to cut the lead to one.  But that would not be enough as SUNY Morrisville would pull away at the end to grab the win.
• Once again, the Mustangs would jump out to a good lead as they would go ahead 19-13.  The Lakers would go on a run as they would take the lead 23-22.  The Mustangs would not give up as they would score the matches next three points to win 25-23.
• The third match would be a back-and-forth battle with seven ties, but the Mustangs would finish strong as they would take the set 25-22.
• Emily Huppee (Liberty Hill, TX) continued her strong play for the Mustangs as she finished with 15 kills while committing just 4 errors.  Huppee also finished with 10 digs for the Mustangs.
• Kathryn Dolan (Quincy, CA) finished with 3 kills and 5 block assists while Keelin Baker (Vestal, N.Y.) finished with 7 kills and 4 block assists.
• Kayla Sheasby (Hood River, OR) led the Mustangs on defense as she finished with 14 digs to go along with her team leading 3 serving aces.
• Hannah Taylor (Goshen, N.Y.) led the Mustangs with 16 assists, while Samantha Mehler (Cumming, GA) finished with 8 assists.
• Kayci Olson (Cortland, N.Y.) has a strong night as she finished with 4 kills, 1 serving ace, and 9 digs for SUNY Morrisville
