Men back in win column with 3-1 tilt at Arcadia

COLMAR, PA – SUNY Morrisville men's hockey scored once in each period of play Wednesday evening as they posted a 3-1 victory over host Arcadia at the Hatfield Ice Arena in Colmar, Pennsylvania.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
  • Visiting SUNY Morrisville men's hockey picked up a 3-1 win Wednesday evening as they scored once in each period to topple the host Arcadia Knights on their home ice in Colmar, Pennsylvania.
  • Morrisville's first tally of the night came nearly midway through the opening period as Brett Tibbs (Mt. Airy, Md.) one-timed the chip from Jonas Leas (North Vancouver, B.C.) off the face-off win by Chris Mott (Nesconset, N.Y.).
  • The Mustangs took a two goal lead seconds into the second period with a rebound tally.
  • Domenic Della Civita (Trenton, Ont.) fired the puck from the center of the blue where Cameron Clark (Daytona Beach, Fla.) picked up the rebound and chipped it over to a wide-open Trevor Grasby (Holland Landing, Ont.) for the tally.
  • Arcadia was able to get one back late in the second to pull within one after two, but Morrisville was able to hold the Knights scoreless for the third, while adding to their lead with a third score late in the contest to secure the win.
  • Clark chipped in the empty net score off the move up ice from Benjamin Lindberg (East Aurora, N.Y.) and Stevie Gerbis (Bradenton, Fla.).
  • Grant Linville (Edmond, Okla.) earned the win in net for the Mustangs, turning away 34 for the win, 12 alone in the final period.
 
WHAT'S NEXT:
 
  • Morrisville will hit the road for two straight after tonight's contest, the first on Wednesday as they resume SUNYAC action at Brockport, followed by a Friday showdown with Geneseo in Geneseo.
