MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville Women's Soccer team was minutes away from notching their second win of the season, before the visiting Hartwick College Hawks scored a game-tying goal with less than three minutes left to play to end in a draw.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Morrisville got things started early, posting their first goal in the 14th minute of action. Angelina Rinaldi (Huntington Station, NY) recorded her second goal of the season to give the Mustangs the early lead. Senior defender, Zoe Costello (Kingston, NY) took advantage of a free kick opportunity putting the ball in perfect position for Rinaldi to find the back of the net.
- The Hawks responded in the 27th minute with a goal from Stella Rowley to even the score at one apiece.
- The Mustangs would take a 2-1 lead into half time, when Emiko Matsumoto (Chandler, AZ) scored the go-ahead goal in the 32nd minute. The score marked the first goal of the sophomore's collegiate career, while junior Tiffany Dicenzo (Rochester, NY) picked up the assist.
- Hartwick's offensive unit put pressure on the Morrisville defense in the second half, taking twelve shots and five corner kicks in the final 45 minutes of action.
- With time winding down, Hawk freshman, Nicasia Santos notched the equalizer in the 87th minute of play.
- Both teams scrambled to find the game winner before time expired, but neither squad was successful, ending in a 2-2 draw.
- Melanie Rott (Niagara Falls, NY) made her season debut in goal for the Mustangs, recording four saves.
WHAT'S NEXT:
- The Mustangs hit the road for the first time this season on Saturday, traveling to Hilbert College for a 3:00pm contest.
