Box Score MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville women's volleyball team improved to 2-0 after sweeping competition in the first day of their own tournament Friday evening, handing visiting Oswego a 3-0 match loss as they claimed the victory with set scores of 25-20, 25-11 and 25-22.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Host SUNY Morrisville got double digit kills from junior outside hitter Brianna Gates (Eagle, Colo.) Friday night as they topped visiting SUNY Oswego by a match final 3-0.
• Gates added an ace to go along with seven digs to her totals on the night, as Morrisville swept the competition to improve to 2-0 in the early start to the season.
• Keelin Baker (Vestal, N.Y.) added eight kills to the Mustangs dominance at the net, while teammate Emily Huppee (Liberty Hill, Tex.) threw down seven, hitting .500 from the floor.
• Hannah Taylor (Goshen, N.Y.) put up 17 assists alongside 11 from Siobhan Moore (Leyden, Mass.).
• Baker came up big for the Mustangs defensively, collecting 24 digs while Huppee added eight.
• Oswego's best effort offensively came from Emma Florentine who posted a team best seven kills, while McKenna Corbin collected 21 assists.
• Ally Natale had 13 digs for the Lakers.
