MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville women's volleyball team powered their way to a season 3-1 match win over visiting Russell Sage College Friday afternoon in the opening game of the Mustangs own tournament in Morrisville.

• Host SUNY Morrisville powered their way to a 3-1 match win in the opening contest of the 2022 season Friday afternoon, toppling visiting Russell Sage with set scores of 25-17, 25-12, 13-25 and 25-16.
• The Mustangs pounded down a total 41 kills at the net, including 13 by sophomore Emily Huppee (Austin, Tex.) who added three aces and four digs to her totals.
• Keelin Baker (Vestal, N.Y.) added 11 in her debut for the Mustangs, collecting four digs, while teammate Brianna Gates (Eagle, Colo.) added 10 in her first of the year to go along with 11 defensive digs.
• Hannah Taylor (Goshen, N.Y.) put up 27 assists and Siobhan Moore (Leyden, Mass.) added another 10 while both combined for six service aces in the offensive game.
• Newcomer Kayla Sheasby (Hood River, Ore.) racked up 20 digs in her debut.
• Morrisville hit a combined .315 in the match.

• The Mustangs will host Oswego in the nightcap at 7 p.m.
