Santini nets 100th career goal in win over Wells

Box Score MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – SUNY Morrisville senior midfielder, Makenzi Santini (Fairport, N.Y.) became the ninth in women's lacrosse history to reach the 100-career goal milestone mark Wednesday night, as the Mustangs toppled visiting Wells College by a 19-5 United East final score on Drake Field in Morrisville.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
  • Host SUNY Morrisville women's lacrosse picked up a 19-5 league win Wednesday evening over visiting Wells College in Morrisville, honoring its senior class prior to the start of the contest.
  • Senior Makenzi Santini (Fairport, N.Y.) added to her storied career on senior night, netting the first of the second quarter, the 100th goal of her career. She finished the night with an assist, adding a ground ball and caused turnover to her tallies.
  • Fellow senior Aria Treadway (Rome, N.Y.) added one as well, while teammate Ciara Putman (Central Square, N.Y.) collected a goal.
  • Maddie Baum (Fulton, N.Y.) led the charge with six goals and two assists, while teammate Alana McDonald (Potsdam, N.Y.) added another five to go along with two assists.
  • McDonald, who also had three caused turnovers on the night, collected six ground balls and five draw controls, as Baum picked up another six on the ground.
  • Alexa Ringgold (Bellport, N.Y.) notched two goals and Keeley Riley (Dexter, N.Y.) one, while Jaele Naab (Clarence, N.Y.) posted one of her own while dishing out three assists.
  • Jillian Dodge (Fabius, N.Y.) rounded out all scoring with a goal.
  • Laura Lorraine (Hamilton, N.Y.) turned away six in the win.

  • Morrisville will travel to Medaille Saturday for the regular season finale. Game time is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Medaille.
