Box Score MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville men's lacrosse team wrapped up the 2022 slate Monday afternoon with a convincing 28-4 win over visiting Medaille College, claiming the program's seventh straight, and tenth overall, regular season league title, as they finished the league lineup with an undefeated 6-0 effort.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- Host SUNY Morrisville rattled off 18 first half goals Monday afternoon as they laid claim to the program's seventh straight regular season conference title, after finishing the United East slate with a perfect 6-0 record.
- The Mustangs, whose title is the 10th overall, had a record setting performance on the day, establishing a new single game record for goals scored as they tallied 28 while limiting Medaille College to just four.
- Eleven different Mustangs contributed to the win on the afternoon, including Zach Nestor (Manlius, N.Y.) who tied the single game record for points at 13 behind his four goals and nine assists, a second single game record for Morrisville in the win.
- Nestor added three ground balls and caused a turnover for the Mustangs, who also got big numbers from fellow attackman Roman Reiss (LaFayette, N.Y.) who rifled five past the Medaille keeper, adding three assists to his totals for eight points.
- Reiss tied his collegiate high in goals scored, while establishing a new career best in points.
- Chris Picciott (Brewerton, N.Y.) added a collegiate high four goals in the win, also dishing out an assist, while fellow teammate Dante Patriarco (Cortland, N.Y.) netted four as well.

- Senior Peter Pina (Culver City, Calif.) posted the hat trick with his three snipes from the midfield, as teammates Justin Smith (East Syracuse, N.Y.) and Evan Kistner (Fulton, N.Y.) each added a pair of their own.
- Luke Strong (Rochester, N.Y.), Garrett Mead (Homer, N.Y.), Gerald Klubek (Eden, N.Y.) and Jordan Ruscher (Henrietta, N.Y.) rounded out the scoring with one apiece.
- Dylan LaPlace (Chester, Conn.) collected the win with three saves on the day, also picking up four ground balls in the victory.
- The Mustang face-off trio of Soren Bredeson (Eagle, Colo.), Klubek and Ryan Creenan (Colonia, N.J.) dominated the face-off, winning a combined 32-of-36 at the center start, with Klubek going a perfect 8-for-8.
- Bredeson added 15 wins on his 16 attempts while collecting a team high 11 ground balls, while Creenan picked up nine wins and four ground balls.
- Morrisville's defensive unit limited Medaille to just 10 shots total across the contest, while Mead, Smith, Chad Warren (LaFayette, N.Y.) and Mitch Bliss (Canandaigua, N.Y.) each caused two turnovers.
- Morrisville opened the flood gates early, netting the first tally just 45 ticks into the contest as Pina rifled in his third of the season off the feed from Reiss.
- Within minutes, Nestor added his 22nd goal of the season to give the hosts the two goal cushion before Medaille's Colton Keane was able to put one past LaPlace to get on the board.
- After a responding tally from Reiss off the dish from Nestor, Nestor started picking apart the Maverick defense, contributing on the next four tallies, as Morrisville increased their lead to 8-1 after one quarter.
- Much like the first frame, the Mustangs hit the gas in the second and within seconds of the start added to their total as Patriarco notched his 27th of the year, followed by Kistner's 17th of the season that contributed to the 10 goal frame and 18-2 halftime advantage.
- Midway through the third, Morrisville holding a significant 20-2 lead, added another as Nestor found Reiss for his eighth assist on the day, breaking the single game record in assists. He went on to add another late in the quarter as Patriarco collected his fourth goal of the game.
- Mead picked up his first tally of the season to add to the scoring in the fourth before Kistner and Ruscher collected the final two goals to put the game away with a 28-4 final score.
