WILLIAMSPORT P.A. – The SUNY Morrisville softball team lost a pair of games to host Penn College on Friday afternoon in a United East conference doubleheader. The Mustangs fall to 3-21 overall and 3-13 in conference play, while Penn College improves to 23-8, sitting in first place in the United East at 19-1.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- The Mustangs gave up just three runs in the first two innings of game one, and held Penn College scoreless in the third. But five additional runs in the bottom of the fourth propelled the Wildcats to an 8-0 victory.
- Kellina Murphy (Yonkers, NY) suffered the loss for the Mustangs, striking out two, allowing just five hits and surrendering two walks.
- Penn College's Kyla Benner pitched her second perfect game of the season, striking out thirteen batters in game one.
- Jade Atherton (Greenwood, NY) continued her aggressive streak at the plate for the Mustangs, going 1-2 in the nightcap and recording her fourteenth hit of season.
- Freshman Sophie Keehle (Conklin, NY) tallied her eleventh hit of the season with a single to left field in the top of the third.
- Hannah Godfrey (Southgate, MICH) gave up four hits and surrendered five walks in the loss, dropping to 1-7 on the year.

SUNY Morrisville will continue their southern tour, traveling to Penn State-Harrisburg for a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon. Games are scheduled to start at 1:00pm and 3:00pm
