Kistner's nine points leads Morrisville men in landslide win over Wells

Box Score AURORA, N.Y. – Ten different Mustangs added to the onslaught of host Wells College Tuesday night, as visiting SUNY Morrisville collected a 25-4 United East win in Aurora.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
  • Visiting SUNY Morrisville men's lacrosse picked up a 25-4 landslide United East decision over host Wells College Tuesday evening, as 10 Mustangs contributed to the win, including sophomore Evan Kistner (Fulton, N.Y.) who led the way with a team high nine points behind six goals and three assists.
  • Zach Nestor (Manlius, N.Y.) added four scores and assisted four others, while Dante Patriarco (Cortland, N.Y.) netted four as well, to go along with an assist.
  • Freshman defender, Justin Smith (East Syracuse, N.Y.) posted his first collegiate score, netting a hat trick come game end.
  • Chris Picciott (Brewerton, N.Y.) walked away with four points, scoring twice and assisting another two, while Luke Strong (Rochester, N.Y.) added a pair of scores and an assist as well.
  • Chad Warren (LaFayette, N.Y.), Curtis Robitaille (Endwell, N.Y.), Willie Burns (Cutchogue, N.Y.) and Gerald Klubek (Eden, N.Y.) contributed a goal apiece, combining for five assists, three from Robitaille.
  • Klubek dominated the center start, winning 23-of-28 faceoffs while collecting a team best 11 ground balls. Ryan Creenan (Colonia, N.J.) added two wins to the Mustang totals in his collegiate debut.
  • Warren added another seven pickups, as Morrisville dominated the ground game with a decisive 39-15 advantage.
  • Dylan LaPlace (Chester, Conn.) turned away five in the win in net, as the defensive unit in front limited the Express to nine looks on goal.
  • Morrisville held the 42-9 advantage in shots on goal on the night,
 
WHAT'S NEXT:
 
  • Morrisville will meet St. Mary's College of Maryland for the first time in the history of the two programs on Saturday, as each compete for the league top spot in team standings. Face-off is scheduled for 12 p.m. on Drake Field in Morrisville.
