Box Score BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville men's lacrosse team got a hat trick performance from freshman
Luke Strong (Rochester, N.Y.) but it wasn't enough as Brockport used a six goal fourth quarter to push past the Mustangs for the non-conference win in Brockport.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- Visiting SUNY Morrisville men's lacrosse dropped a 17-6 non-conference decision Wednesday afternoon on the road at Brockport, as the Golden Eagles collected six scores in the final quarter of action to seal the win.
- Freshman Luke Strong (Rochester, N.Y.) posted a hat trick performance for the Mustangs, netting two unassisted tallies while putting away one on the extra man opportunity.
- Roman Reiss (LaFayette, N.Y.) added two goals in the loss, while Dante Patriarco (Cortland, N.Y.) notched one.
- Dylan LaPlace (Chester, Conn.) posted 10 stops in the loss in net.
- Soren Bredeson (Eagle, Colo.) picked up 12 wins at the center x on the face-off and collected a team high seven ground balls.
- Brockport posted the first score of the afternoon at the 13:09 mark of the first before Patriarco responded after putting away the dish from Gerald Klubeck (Eden, N.Y.) just over a minute later.
- Brockport rattled off three quick scores to claim the 4-1 lead, but a tally from Reiss cut the deficit to two for the Mustangs.
- In the second, another three-goal spurt by the hosts put the Mustangs behind 7-2, before Strong posted his first of the day, but Brockport added two more before the final whistle of the opening half to carry the 9-3 lead into the break.
- Strong put his second of the day into the net just over a minute into the third quarter as Morrisville earned the extra man opportunity following a Brockport penalty.
- Reiss was able to net a second of the frame for the Mustangs with 44 seconds to go to cut the Brockport lead to 11-5.
- The hosts opened the fourth and final frame with a four-goal run, netting the first of the spurt 14 seconds in, to claim a 15-5 lead, before a Strong goal broke up the Golden Eagle scoring.
- Brockport added two final tallies in the closing minutes to seal the win.
