Box Score MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The SUNY Morrisville softball team got behind early and struggled to overcome a skilled Keene State squad, as they fell 14-0 in the nightcap Monday afternoon in Myrtle Beach.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Keene St. capitalized off their bats early, crossing home plate nine times in the bottom of the first inning, as they downed visiting SUNY Morrisville 14-0 at the Fastpitch Dreams Classic in Myrtle Beach.
• Hannah Godfrey (Southgate, Mich.) recorded the loss on the mound, throwing 3.1 innings while striking out one, and allowing a total 14 runs, seven earned.
• Kellina Murphy (Yonkers, N.Y.) relieved Godfrey for the final .2 innings, facing three total batters.
• Morrisville registered three hits on the day, including a single from Morgan Dueber (Owego, N.Y.) who sent the blast to center field in the top of the first. Dueber went 1-for-2 from the plate in the contest.
• The Mustangs registered two solid hits in the top of the second, with Makayla Lawrence (Webster, N.Y.) smacking the single to right field, before Maria Santilli (Bristol, Conn.) followed with another single hit to right field. Both were left on base, though, as Keene St. closed out the inning with back-to-back defensive plays.
