Box Score POTSDAM, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville women's ice hockey team closed out the 2021-22 season Wednesday night on the road, dropping a 2-1 NEWHL decision to host SUNY Potsdam in Potsdam.

• Visiting SUNY Morrisville attempted a comeback attempt Wednesday night as they battled host SUNY Potsdam in NEWHL action on the road but fell short as the Bears claimed the 2-1 league win in the season finale.
• Morrisville's lone score of the contest came at 4:03 in the third period on the power play as Alana McDonald (Potsdam, N.Y.) put away her ninth score of the season in front of the hometown crowd.
• Emma Thompson (Ingleside, Ont.) and Kate Mabey (Guelph, Ont.) were credited with assists on the score.
• Emma Plett (Grunthal, Man.) recorded 36 stops in the loss between the pipes, 15 in her efforts in the second period of play.
