Michael Litchfield (St. Albans, N.Y.) rattled off a career high 29 points Tuesday evening, leading the visiting Mustangs to a 88-75 comeback win in United East play over Penn St. Berks in Reading.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- Freshman guard, Michael Litchfield (St. Albans, N.Y.) rattled off a career high 29 points Tuesday evening as the visiting SUNY Morrisville men's basketball team rallied in the second half for the come-from-behind league win over host Penn St. Berks.
- Litchfield, who collected 20 of his game total in the second half of action, had a huge shooting night, hitting 10-of-16 total from the floor, including an 8-for-9 effort from beyond the arc.
- His eight threes tied the single game record set by Tyrin Miller in 2017 against Gallaudet University.
- Jon Brennen (Irvington, N.Y.) added 16 points in the win, collecting seven rebounds while assisting another five.
- Thirteen of Brennen's points came in the second half of play where he hit a perfect 3-for-3 form the floor and went 7-for-8 from the free throw line.
- Jordan Coard (Jamaica, N.Y.) and Noah Armstrong (Cortland, N.Y.) added to the Mustangs leaderboard, each posting double figures with their 12 point and 10-point totals, respectively.
- Coard registered the double-double, leading the visitors with 11 boards, including four on the offensive glass, as Morrisville dominated the glass 42-26.
- Morrisville trailed 42-30 at the break after a tough shooting Penn St. Berks hit nearly 60% from the floor.
- The Nittany Lions extended their lead to as many as 15 in the opening minutes of the second half before a layup by Morrisville's Hunter Kowaleski (Cazenovia, N.Y.) ignited a 12-2 run to cut the Berks lead to three with 13:28 to go in the half.
- The hosts broke up the Mustangs run with back-to-back scores, but a layup from Coard followed by a three by Litchfield and another from Isiah Walker (Freeport, N.Y.) gave Morrisville their first lead of the game.
- Both teams played back and forth over the ensuing six minutes of action with neither leading by more than six until the 2:54 mark when Litchfield sunk one from beyond the arc for a six-point advantage and Brennen followed with a jumper with 2:11 to go.
- The Mustangs were able to put the game away in the final two minutes of play as Brennen converted 5-of-6 free throws to secure the league victory.
