MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville men's basketball team dropped a 78-63 non-conference decision Friday night to visiting SUNY Brockport, falling to 3-5 overall on the season.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Visiting SUNY Brockport collected a non-conference win over the host SUNY Morrisville Mustangs Friday evening, as Morrisville dropped to 3-5 overall to date on the season.
• Jordan Coard (Jamaica, N.Y.) led the Mustangs with his double-double effort, netting 17 points and snagging 10 rebounds.
• Coard hit 6-of-7 from the floor and added a 4-for-6 effort from the free throw line, while collecting four offensive boards and adding two steals to his totals.
• Tron Smith (Brooklyn, N.Y.) added 12 for the Mustangs, hitting three long balls, while collecting three rebounds and dishing out a team high seven assists.
• Charles Brown (Harlem, N.Y.) came off the bench to add 10 points and four boards.
• Morrisville trailed by four at the break but fell behind in the second half as they struggled from the floor, hitting just 29% of shots.
• Brockport led by 20 midway through the second half before Morrisville chipped away at the deficit to cut it to 13, but the margin was too much to overcome down the stretch as the hosts ran out of clock and Brockport collected the win.
