MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – SUNY Morrisville head coach Joseph Smith announced the addition of Mike Sugamosto as assistant coach for the upcoming 2022-23 season.

Sugamosto served as the lead assistant coach at Cazenovia College for three seasons before becoming the Owner, President and General Manager of the Syracuse Stallions Professional Men's Basketball Franchise.
 
While at Cazenovia, Sugamosto assisted in the development of scouting reports, practice and game plans and oversaw the addition of 17 recruits to the Wildcats roster. He also created and conducted several camps and clinics for Cazenovia.
 
Sugamosto is the Owner and Director of the Elite Men's Basketball Club Pro Am in Central New York for the past 10 years and currently oversees all business operations for the Syracuse Stallions.
 
To date his Stallion organization has collected a 90-18 overall record, made a Final Four Appearance and National Championship Appearance in The Basketball League (TBL). Overseeing recruiting, contract agreements for professional athletes nationally and overseas, Sugamosto has a 90% international roster placement rate following the season end.
 
In addition, Sugamosto is involved with sponsorships and advertising sales for the Stallions, as well as budget implementation.
 
For three years Sugamosto served as a youth development specialist with Contact Community Services where he provided academic counseling, tutoring and intervention to apply to students' needs who struggle academically, behaviorally and socially.
 
Prior to that role in youth development, Sugamosto was a behavior specialist for three years.
 
A graduate of Onondaga Community College, Sugamosto holds a degree in business administration.
