Box Score UTICA, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville men's basketball team got behind in the first half and despite making a second period charge, were unable to top host Utica University in non-conference action in Utica Tuesday night.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Visiting SUNY Morrisville men's basketball dropped a non-conference cross town battle with Utica University Tuesday night, unable to overcome the first half deficit built by the Pioneers.
• Six posted double figures in the efforts for the Mustangs, including Jordan Coard (Jamaica, N.Y.) who collected a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds.
• Tron Smith (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led the Morrisville efforts with 18 points, adding six boards and five assists to his totals, while Justin Sykes (New York, N.Y.) and Michael Litchfield (St. Albans, N.Y.) each contributed 12.
• Litchfield also had four assists, and Sykes five rebounds.
• Mike Green (Bronx, N.Y.) added 12 points as well, while teammate Shykell Brown (Rochester, N.Y.) rounded out the leader board with 10 points, assisting three.
• Morrisville struggled in the first half of action, shooting a low 31.25% from the floor to trail by 18 at the break.
• Despite a second half rally, they were unable to overcome the deficit and fell in non-conference action by a 94-81 final.
