MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville field hockey team took on visiting SUNY Cortland in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Wednesday afternoon in Morrisville, falling in an 11-0 decision.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Host SUNY Morrisville field hockey took the field for one of their final home contests Wednesday afternoon, falling in league competition to visiting SUNY Cortland.
• Battling both a tough Red Dragon squad, the Mustangs put forth their best effort with undermanned key positions.
• Morgan Dueber (Owego, N.Y.) recorded the loss in net, turning away 19 in the Mustangs defensive efforts.
• Emma Plett (Mitchell, Man.) registered a defensive save.
• Cortland struck early, netting their firs score just 2:45 into the contest before building up a 5-0 first quarter lead, and eight goal advantage at the break.
• Morrisville was able to hold the Red Dragons to just three scores in the third, and scoreless in the fourth as they fell in the league outing.
