CANTON, N.Y. – The Mustangs traveled to SUNY Canton on Tuesday afternoon for a Northeast Women's Hockey League (NEWHL) matchup with the Roos.  SUNY Canton picked up the 1-0 win.

• Records: Morrisville 4-11-1 (2-8-1 NEWHL), Canton 11-2-1 (5-2-1 NEWHL)

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

• The Mustangs and the Roos skated to a scoreless draw for nearly 48 minutes of competition.
• Canton broke the deadlock at the 7:47 mark of the third period to take the 1-0 lead.
• Morrisville picked up an opportunity to even the score as the Roos picked up an interference penalty early in the 14^th minute of the third.  Unfortunately, Canton executed the penalty kill while only allowing two shots on goal.
• The Mustangs made one final push gaining possession with just over a minute left to play, pulling goalie Emma Plett (Grunthal, Man.) for the extra skater.
• The push was too little too late as the Roos handed the Mustangs the 1-0 loss.
• Plett was charged with the hard luck loss despite recording 24 saves.
