CANTON, N.Y. – The Mustangs traveled to SUNY Canton on Tuesday afternoon for a Northeast Women's Hockey League (NEWHL) matchup with the Roos. SUNY Canton picked up the 1-0 win.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- The Mustangs and the Roos skated to a scoreless draw for nearly 48 minutes of competition.
- Canton broke the deadlock at the 7:47 mark of the third period to take the 1-0 lead.
- Morrisville picked up an opportunity to even the score as the Roos picked up an interference penalty early in the 14th minute of the third. Unfortunately, Canton executed the penalty kill while only allowing two shots on goal.
- The Mustangs made one final push gaining possession with just over a minute left to play, pulling goalie Emma Plett (Grunthal, Man.) for the extra skater.
- The push was too little too late as the Roos handed the Mustangs the 1-0 loss.
- Plett was charged with the hard luck loss despite recording 24 saves.
