Box Score WASHINGTON, D.C. – The SUNY Morrisville men's basketball team picked up their first United East win of the season Saturday afternoon, handing Gallaudet University a 70-51 league loss in Washington.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Visiting SUNY Morrisville shot nearly 50% from the floor in the second half of play Saturday afternoon to expand their halftime lead over the host Gallaudet Bison en route to their first United East win of the season.
• Three posted double figures for the Mustangs, including Tron Smith (Brooklyn, N.Y.) who posted 17 points, while adding a team high seven rebounds and two assists.
• Isiah Walker (Freeport, N.Y.) added 12 points, snagging five boards and dishing out three assists, while Hunter Kowaleski (Cazenovia, N.Y.) collected 10 points and six rebounds to contribute to the victory.
• Anthony Thomas (Wrightown, N.J.) added nine off the bench, while dishing out three assists.
• Morrisville jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the opening minute of the contest, maintaining distance throughout the half to lead 34-29 at the break.
• In the second, an early layup from the hosts cut the advantage to three, but back-to-back buckets from Kowaleski kicked off an 8-0 spurt for the Mustangs, increasing their lead to 11 five minutes in.
• Gallaudet was able to break up the Mustang scoring with a free throw, but the visitors added another 11-0 run to open the contest to a 21-point advantage, a gap that was too much for the hosts to overcome.
