Box Score MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Mustangs were held scoreless in Northeast Women's Hockey League (NEWHL) action on Saturday afternoon, falling to the visiting Cardinals from Plattsburgh State, 4-0.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

• Despite being doubled up in shots on goal 14-7, the Mustangs held the nationally ranked Cardinals scoreless through the first twenty minutes of play.
• Unfortunately, Morrisville got themselves in a bit of penalty trouble in the second period.
• Plattsburgh was able to capitalize on the power play opportunities, scoring once in the fourth minute and again in the final minute of the second period to take the 2-0 lead.
• The Mustangs were able to gain their own advantage in the third with a Plattsburgh roughing penalty at the 2:46 mark, but they were unable to convert the opportunity into a goal.
• The Cardinals eventually put the contest out of reach for the Mustangs, scoring at the 9:02 mark and the 15:13 mark of the third to complete the 4-0 win.
• Emma Plett (Grunthal, Man.) suffered the hard luck loss in net for the Mustangs, tallying 41 saves on the afternoon.
