WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Brett Tibbs (Mt. Airy, Md.) put the Mustangs on the board at the 12:08 mark of the first period for the 1-0 advantage. Trevor Neumann (Burlington, Ont.) and Stevie Gerbis (Bradenton, Fla.) picked up the assists on the even-handed tally.
- The Eagles responded by outshooting the Mustangs 19-6 in the second period and 21-15 in the third, but the Morrisville defense held the host team scoreless to preserve the 1-0 victory.
- Ryan Creenan (Colonia, N.J.) picked up his first career win and first career shutout, denying all 52 shots that he faced over the course of the contest.
- Other offensive leaders for the Mustangs were Luca Esposito (Bolton, Ont.) and Curtis Abbott (Belmont, Ont.) who each put five shots on goal.
