MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Mustangs ended their home tournament play with a three set win over Hood on Saturday afternoon.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- After a five set marathon in Morrisville's first match of the day, the host squad rebounded with a balanced attack.
- While no Mustang posted double digit kills, seven players contributed at least one kill to the team's offensive effort.
- Brianna Gates (Eagle, Colo.) and Kirsten Florio (Wellsboro, Pa.) led the way with nine kills apiece. Kayci Olson (Cortland, N.Y.) followed with seven kills, while Emily Huppee (Austin, Tex.) picked up six.
- Siobhan Moore (Leyden, Mass.) and Hannah Taylor (Goshen, N.Y.) split setting duties in the match with Moore posting 19 assists and Taylor posting 12.
- The Mustangs also displayed another exceptional serve game, collecting 13 aces. Moore along with defensive specialist, Isabella Wallace (Homer, N.Y.) paced the Morrisville service attack with four aces each.
NEXT UP FOR THE MUSTANGS
The Mustangs will have the week to rest up after a busy opening weekend before hitting the road for three big non-conference matchups at the Rowan College Tournament. Morrisville will open up the weekend with the 7 PM match against Rowan on Friday. Saturday will feature the Mustangs squaring off against Catholic University and Widener University at 12 PM and 2 PM respectively.
