GLASSBORO, N.J. – Morrisville volleyball fell short of a comeback in their final match of the Rowan University tournament, taking two sets from the undefeated Pride from Widener University.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- The Mustangs kept pace with undefeated Widener in the first set, equaling the Pride in kills, but fell short of taking the first set win.
- Morrisville rallied back, claiming victory in the second and third sets.
- The Mustangs and the Pride matched each other point for point for most of the fourth set as both teams were knotted up seven times throughout the course of the set.
- Unfortunately, it was the Pride who pulled away for the 25-20 fourth set win to force the decisive fifth set.
- Morrisville was unable to get their offense rolling in the fifth, falling to Widener 15-8, giving the Pride the 3-2 match win.
- Kirsten Florio (Wellsboro, Pa.) was dominant in the second match of the day for the Mustangs, posting 18 kills while hitting .262.
- Brianna Gates (Eagle, Colo.) was close behind Florio, as the sophomore posted 15 kills.
- Emily Huppee (Austin, Tex.) picked up eight kills to go along with five service aces and four block assists.
- Siobhan Moore (Leyden, Mass.) picked up 45 assists in the five set affair.
NEXT UP FOR THE MUSTANGS
The Mustangs continue their road stretch this week, traveling to Utica College on Wednesday night for a 7 PM match before heading to the Nazareth College tournament on Friday and Saturday.
