MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – SUNY Morrisville women's soccer head coach Paul Allsopp announced the addition of former Mustang midfielder, Michaela Fazio, as assistant coach for the upcoming soccer season.

"We're excited to add Michaela to the Mustang coaching staff," said Allsopp.

"Michaela has a great understanding of what it takes to be successful here at Morrisville, having been a three-year starter and captain of the Mustang program. She has a passion for helping develop players and has an excellent understanding of what it takes to develop a strong team culture."

"I'm looking forward to working with Michaela to bring success to the program, both on and off the field."

Fazio returns to the pitch she called home for three seasons where she made 48 total appearances and 27 starts at midfield. During her time in the Mustang uniform, Fazio collected three goals and assisted another, while making an appearance in the conference championship tournament.

She was also successful in the classroom, earning NEAC Scholar-Athlete honors four straight semesters along with Athletic Director Honor Roll accolades, and served as a soccer representative to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for three years.

Following her time at Morrisville Fazio worked as a soccer camp coach and counselor at Dartmouth College during the summer of 2019 and the following year served as the assistant women's soccer coach for Pennsylvania College of Technology where she was able to plan and carry out training sessions with the program.

Fazio earned her degree in business administration at SUNY Morrisville and is pursuing her master's in athletic leadership at Castleton University.

Morrisville kicks off the season September 1, hosting SUNY Delhi at 4 p.m. on Drake Field.
