Morrisville women sweep conference action with win over Mount Aloysius

Box Score CRESSON, Pa. – The SUNY Morrisville women's lacrosse team ran wild in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action Saturday as they downed host Mount Aloysius College by a 25-5 final score in Cresson, Pennsylvania.

  • Records: Morrisville 5-2, 3-0 NEAC; Mount Aloysius 0-2, 0-2 NEAC
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
  • Ten different Mustangs recorded scores Saturday for Morrisville as they dominated host Mount Aloysius College in a 25-5 final decision in NEAC action.
  • Maddie Baum (Fulton, N.Y.) netted her second double-digit game of the season collecting seven scores while adding three assists for 10 total points.
  • Aria Treadway (Rome, N.Y.) and Alana McDonald (Potsdam, N.Y.) also had a multiple goal contest, netting four and three apiece, while each contributing two assists.
  • Lauren McGreal (Pawling, N.Y.) registered a hat-trick for a second straight contest, while Makenzi Santini (Fairport, N.Y.) added two goals and two assists.
  • Jaele Naab (Buffalo, N.Y.) had two scores, while Alexa Ringgold (Bellport, N.Y.) and Dominique Johnson (Fulton, N.Y.) each collected one and dished out an assist.
  • Ciara Putman (Central Square, N.Y.) posted a score as did Kendra Johnston (St. Alberta, AB). Johnston's tally was her first collegiate goal of her young career.
  • Kadi Denney (Lorraine, N.Y.) collected the win, turning away six, while Laura Lorraine (Hamilton, N.Y.) added another two in 30 minutes of play.
  • Baum posted the first two tallies for the Mustangs early on in the contest, before Putman and Treadway each added one to give the visitors a 4-0 lead just eight minutes in.
  • After a Mount Aloysius score at the 20:24 mark, Morrisville rattled off nine straight over 10 minutes time, and didn't look back as they added two more tallies for a 15-2 lead at the half.
  • The Mustangs momentum carried over to the second half, where Morrisville notched the first four of the period, before trading goals with the hosts, and ending with a four goal spurt to collect the win.

  • Morrisville will return to the field in the opening round of the NEAC Championship tournament. Tournament details will be announced as soon as they are made available.
