Box Score MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Host SUNY Morrisville got a game high six goals from senior
Makenzi Santini (Fairport, N.Y.) but it wasn't enough as visiting Oswego women's lacrosse captured a 20-14 non-conference win over the Mustangs Saturday afternoon on Drake Field in Morrisville.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- Host SUNY Morrisville raced out to an early 6-3 lead over visiting Oswego Saturday afternoon but couldn't maintain the lead as they fell to the visiting Lakers by a 20-14 non-conference final score.
- Morrisville senior midfielder Makenzi Santini (Fairport, N.Y.) collected a game high six tallies, adding an assist for seven points, to lead the Mustangs in the loss, netting four in the second half to keep the hosts in the game.
- Two of Santini's goals came on free positions, as she added three draw controls and a caused turnover to the team efforts on the day.
- Aria Treadway (Rome, N.Y.) added another five scores for Morrisville, one a free position goal, while posting two ground balls and two caused turnovers.
- Lauren McGreal (Pawling, N.Y.) wrapped up goal scoring for the hosts with a hat trick, adding an assist for four points, and leading the way for Morrisville with six collections on the draw.
- Maddie Baum (Fulton, N.Y.) and Ciara Putman (Central Square, N.Y.) each registered an assist.
- Kadi Denney (Lorraine, N.Y.) posted the loss in net, making a total 13 stops between the pipes. Denney also added two ground balls and a caused turnover in the defensive efforts.
- Oswego won the battle on the ground, collecting 23 ground balls to the Mustangs 19, of which sophomore Dominique Johnson (Fulton, N.Y.) picked up a team best six.
- The Lakers were led by Sela Wiley who had an eight-point outing for Oswego behind her team high seven goals and an assist, with fellow teammate Logan Castiglione adding another seven points on her five tallies and two assists.
- Wiley was a dominate force for the visitors on the center draw, collecting a game high 10.
- Delaney Kendrick posted the win, making two stops in 16 shots faced.
- Both teams played back-and-forth in the opening five minutes of the contest before the Mustangs put together a four-goal spurt to claim a 6-3 lead just 11 minutes in.
- Oswego countered the Mustangs attack with one of their own, outscoring the hosts 6-1 over the final 15 minutes of the first half to hold a 9-7 advantage at the break.
- The Lakers opened the second with two quick tallies to expand their lead to four, and added two more after Santini struck for the hosts, claiming the 14-9 lead with 20 minutes to go.
- Santini led the Mustangs in a 3-0 flurry, scoring twice with Treadway adding a third Morrisville tally, as they cut the lead to two, but Oswego once again countered and posted three straight to regain the five goal margin.
- McGreal powered her way for a score at the 10:16 mark, and Treadway added her fifth of the game with 8:28 to go, but Oswego sealed the win with two straight to claim the 20-14 victory.
