Box Score ONEONTA, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville women's basketball team heads into the holiday break with an overall 5-5 record, falling to host Hartwick College by a 76-61 final score Monday night in the December finale in Oneonta.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Sophomore guard Brooke Hammersley (Weedsport, N.Y.) led the Mustang efforts Monday night as visiting SUNY Morrisville fell to host Hartwick College by a 76-61 final score in Oneonta.
• Hammersley, who collected 18 points, five rebounds and three steals in the contest, shot a near perfect 7-for-8 effort from the free throw line to lead the Mustangs in the loss, as they head into the Christmas break with a 5-5 overall record.
• Taylor Colone-Microni (Oneonta, N.Y.) chipped in nine points in front of her hometown crowd, also collecting five rebounds and two assists.
• Cara Walker (Phelps, N.Y.) added another seven points and seven boards, while Olivia Brunner (East Branch, N.Y.) posted seven points, four assists and three steals.
• Morrisville trailed 39-31 at the half after a slow start in the opening quarter, but fought their way back in the second behind an 11-point first half effort from Hammersley.
• Hartwick, though, continued their strong play in the paint in the third quarter to pull away from the Mustangs for the non-conference win.

• Morrisville will return to the court Tuesday, January 4^th, hosting Buffalo State in a non-league outing before resuming conference play on the 7^th at Penn State Abington.
