• Visiting SUNY Morrisville men's basketball will meet the College of Mount St. Vincent Sunday in the consolation round of the Union College tourney, after falling by a 71-48 final score to Hamilton College in the opening round.
• Morrisville, who struggled from the floor on the day, had a game high nine points from Tron Smith (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Tavon Price (Bronx, N.Y.) as they shot a combined 6-for-6 from the free throw line, while adding a steal apiece.
• Brison Hall (Syracuse, N.Y.) led the Mustangs on the glass with 11 boards, collecting four offensive rebounds, while adding six points in the Mustang efforts.
• Hamilton had two net double figures in the win, including Eric Anderson who collected 21 on his 7-for-10 shooting performance from the floor.
• Teja Singh added 14 while Nick Osarenren collected eight rebounds to lead the Continentals on the glass.
• Hamilton raced out to an early 10-4 lead minutes into the first half, building the lead to 21 at the half when Anderson drained his fourth three of the period.
• Seven straight points by Price to open the second half and a free throw from Isiah Walker (Freeport, N.Y.) cut the deficit to 15 early on, but Hamilton continued to outgain Morrisville, earning the non-conference win.
