• Host SUNY Morrisville posted a come from behind tally late in the third to force an extra period but couldn't net another as they skated to a 1-1 overtime draw with visiting Rivier College Saturday afternoon in Morrisville.
• Both teams played to a scoreless contest until 37 seconds into the third when Rivier notched a go ahead tally off a Carson Fotheringham goal.
• Keeping up the offensive pressure throughout the third, Morrisville was able to break through for the equalizing score at the 17:11 mark when Eric Melso (Philadelphia, Pa.) put home the dish from Jestin Somero (New Ipswich, N.H.) and Ben Sprague (Norfolk, N.Y.).
• Rivier attempted to take the win in the closing minutes of regulation, but two saves by netminder Owen Liskiewicz (Red Bank, N.J.) forced the overtime period.
• Both teams tested the defensive game early on, but neither could net the game winner in extra time, as they skated off with a one-all draw to wrap up weekend action.
• Seniors Sprague, Jesse Anderson (Wasaga Beach, Ont.) and Bennett Weycker (Appleton, Wisc.) were honored by the Mustangs prior to the opening puck drop.
