Cara Walker posted a collegiate high 31 points and collected 11 rebounds, leading the Mustangs past Keuka College by a 94-81 final score in tournament action Friday night in Brockport.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- Visiting SUNY Morrisville had four collect double figures, including Cara Walker (Phelps, N.Y.) who registered her first collegiate double-double, as she led the Mustangs with a total 31 points and 11 rebounds in the opening round of the Brockport Tip Off Tournament against Keuka College in Brockport.
- Walker went 10-for-17 from the floor, hitting another 10-of-14 from the free throw line in the win.
- Six of her rebounds came on the offensive glass, while also recording three assists and three blocked shots.
- Sophomore Brooke Hammersley (Weedsport, N.Y.) added 17 points in the Mustangs win, snagging eight rebounds, while assisting two and stealing a total of three.
- Taylor Colone-Microni (Oneonta, N.Y.) added 12 to go along with three steals and three assists, hitting 3-of-5 from beyond the arc, while fellow guard Rachel Vieira (Caruthers, Calif.) collected 11 points and eight rebounds, also dishing out a team high six assists to go along with her four steals.
- Morrisville, who shot 43% from the floor on the night, also collected 11 threes in the contest, while shooting 71.4% from the charity stripe as they hit 15-of-21.
- The Mustangs capitalized off 28 Keuka turnovers, scoring 35 points off the miscues, while collecting 42 total in the paint and 22 on the fast break.
- Walker got the scoring rolling for the Mustangs with the first bucket of the contest, but Keuka hung tight and matched the visitors with each score until the 2:26 mark, when a basket by Walker fueled a 9-4 run for Morrisville that sent them into the end of the first quarter with a 23-20 lead.
- A layup from Hammersley early on in the second increased the Mustangs lead to five, their largest until a three from Carli Pardee (South Kortright, N.Y.) gave the visitors their largest of the quarter, a seven-point advantage with 6:17 to go.
- Morrisville carried a 44-38 lead into the halftime break.
- Keuka closed the gap within the opening two minutes of the third, shifting the tables to claim a seven-point advantage with 3:28 to go in the frame, but Morrisville went on a 16-5 run to close the quarter and send the game into the final quarter of play with a 69-64 Mustang lead.
- That momentum carried into the final quarter, with Morrisville opening with a 13-0 spurt to open the contest to a 19-point advantage, one that was difficult for the Wolves to overcome down the stretch.
