Box Score MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville women's volleyball team picked up a 3-0 match win Saturday morning as they dominated Penn St. Abington en route to their first United East victory of the 2021 season.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Visiting SUNY Morrisville volleyball overpowered host Penn St. Abington Saturday morning as they topped the Nittany Lions 3-0 in United East action.
• Morrisville dominated the offensive game, out gaining the hosts 43-18 in kills behind a double digit effort from three Mustangs at the net.
• Brianna Gates (Eagle, Colo.) led the Mustangs with 14 kills, adding an assist and three aces to her tallies on the day.
• Kirsten Florio (Wellsboro, Pa.) added 13 for Morrisville at the net, while fellow teammate Kayci Olson (Cortland, N.Y.) contributed 12 while hitting .a match best .632.
• Morrisville also served up 14 aces to the Nittany Lions 5, four coming from senior Anna Salamino (Liverpool, N.Y.) who also led the Mustangs defense with 17 digs.
• The Mustangs jumped out to a 25-14 set one lead after hitting .393 at the net to start.
• After claiming a 25-15 set two victory, Morrisville dominated the third and final set for the win, registering 16 kills at the net and hitting .394 in the set.
• Siobhan Moore (Leyden, Mass.) put up 37 assists adding eight digs.
