MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville field hockey team mounted a comeback attempt in the fourth quarter of action but fell short Wednesday afternoon as they dropped a 4-2 non-conference decision to visiting Union College on Drake Field in Morrisville.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• The SUNY Morrisville field hockey team scored twice in the fourth quarter of action but were unable to overcome a three goal, three-quarter deficit as Union collected the 4-2 non-conference win.
• After tallies in each the first three quarters of play, Union entered the final frame with a 3-0 advantage, but that was short-lived as Morrisville found the back of the cage in the 49^th minute of play.
• Freshman Ellie Timby (Getzville, N.Y.) recorded the first of her collegiate career at the 48:54 mark off a rebound on the left post, cutting the Union lead to two, before adding another nearly six minutes later as she poked in the cross from Heather Cummings (Akron, N.Y.) at the 54:30 mark.
• Union was able to sneak one more final score past Morrisville's Morgan Dueber (Owego, N.Y.) not even a minute later, securing the win.
• Dueber finished the afternoon with 12 saves in the loss, three in each quarter.
