Often we forget about those behind the scenes and all they do for our student-athletes - get to know equipment manager, Tom Dickinson, in this week's "Meet the Staff" segment!

Why did you become involved in working in/coaching in intercollegiate athletics?

I lost my job in 1991 and I went back to school, studied PE at Cortland, that lead to a job opening at Morrisville which I applied to and received. 

What is your favorite thing about being a coach/staff member?

Looking back at students who have developed into productive society members, fun to see the growth over the years

What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment to date in your career?

Staying at one institution for entire athletic career

What is your favorite memory with the Mustangs to date?

Women's alpine team winning the SU Carnival (Prior to having a stand alone role as equipment manager, he served as head coach of the men's and women's skiing teams)

Who has been the most influential person in your career?

Clifton Perry, Cert. EQ  Manager Princeton University

What is the one item you cannot live without? 

My dog Piper

If you could, who would you choose to switch places with for a day?

I enjoy being me and really don't want to be anyone else, even for one day.

Cairns Australia

What is the best thing about being a coach/athletics staff member?

Everyday is a different experience, never really sure what the day holds for me at the office
