MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville men's hockey team dropped a State Universities of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) matchup against the Oswego State Lakers on Saturday night.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- The Lakers asserted themselves early in the night, posting the opening goal just 25 seconds into the contest.
- Even though Oswego outshot Morrisville 12-2 in the first period, the Mustangs were able to hold the Lakers scoreless until the 17:59 mark when the visitors scored on a power play opportunity.
- The Lakers and the Mustangs both turned their offense up a notch in the second, with Oswego posting 12 shots on goal and Morrisville picking up 8.
- The Mustangs defense, including a 12 stop effort from Morrisville's goalie, Jared Young (Pueblo West, Colo.) held the Lakers scoreless throughout the second.
- Unfortunately, the Lakers turned in a five-goal third period to take home the 7-0 SUNYAC win.
- Following the contest, Young, Sal Stalteri (Woodbridge, Ont.), Nick DeVito (Averill Park, N.Y.), Jon Kasper (Pittsburgh, Pa.), Rick Eberhart (Lockport, N.Y.), and Ryan Bochert (Denver, Colo.) and their families were honored by their teammates and coaches for the contributions they have made to the program over the last four years.

- Morrisville will take a final break from SUNYAC play as they host the SUNY Canton Roos in a non-conference game on Tuesday night at home at 4 PM.
