PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Morrisville Mustangs women's ice hockey team returned to Northeast Women's Hockey League (NEWHL) action this evening, falling to top ranked Plattsburgh State 5-1.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Morrisville fell behind early as Plattsburgh State picked up three goals in the first period.
- The Cardinals extended their lead to 4-0 with a power play goal at the 3:20 mark in the second.
- However, the Mustangs were able to respond just under two minutes later at 5:02 with a Mackenzie Lombardi (Hamilton, Ont.) picked up her own power play goal off of an assist from Maddison Devlin (Campbell River, B.C.).
- Plattsburgh capped off their victory with another power play goal, their third of the contest, at the 12:49 mark in the third.

- The Mustangs return home on Saturday, January 11 with another NEWHL contest as they face off with the Lakers from Oswego State at 3 PM.
