WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
  • Five scored in double figures Wednesday evening to lead visiting Morrisville men's basketball to a 87-83 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) victory over host Keuka College in Keuka Park.
  • Senior guard Tyrin Miller (White Plains, N.Y.) chipped in 20 to lead the Mustang scoring efforts, hitting 4-of-5 from long range.
  • Kevin Dennis (Bronx, N.Y.) collected his 14th double-double on the season with a 14-point, 10 rebound outing, adding five assists, while teammate Rahmell Smith (Syracuse, N.Y.) came off the bench to add 13.
  • Ishmael Chisholm (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) and Jon Brennan (Irvington, N.Y.) collected 11 and 10, respectively, while adding a combined seven rebounds and four assists.
  • Morrisville led 46-41 at the break and maintained the edge in the second to collect the win, responding to each Keuka score with one of their own.
  • A free throw by Keuka with 1:44 to go brought the hosts within two in the league thriller, but a jumper in the paint by Dennis regained a four-point edge for the visitors.
  • Once again Keuka was able to cut the margin to three, but a free throw by Chisholm with 13 ticks to go was enough to secure the win for the Mustangs down the stretch.
