WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
  • It was a scoreless battle through the opening half of Saturday afternoon's soccer action in Washington, D.C., before host Gallaudet University claimed a 1-0 lead minutes into the second off an Elan Markel score.
  • The hosts held on to the advantage until a costly foul within the box found the Mustangs with a penalty kick opportunity, of which sophomore Jack Gardiner (Florida, N.Y.) buried past Bison keeper Shane Angle in the 80th minute to even the contest at one.
  • The momentum from the game tying tally swung in favor of the visitors and in the 82nd minute of action, Ralph Andre (Baldwin, N.Y.) collected the loose ball on the doorstep and put the deflection into the right side back of the net for the go ahead score.
  • Gallaudet had three additional opportunities to even the score down the stretch, but struggled to put a shot past the Mustang defense on target.
  • Angel finished with four stops for the Bison in the loss.
  • Morrisville keeper, Tyler Card (McGraw, N.Y.) recorded the win, turning away six.

WHAT'S NEXT:
