Morrisville field hockey wraps up season with road loss

CORTLAND, N.Y. – Host SUNY Cortland field hockey rattled off six second half goals Wednesday afternoon as they topped visiting SUNY Morrisville by a 10-0 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) final in Cortland.

  • Host SUNY Cortland opened play with two quick tallies, racing out to a 4-0 halftime lead, before adding six more in the second half to collect the 10-0 SUNYAC win Wednesday afternoon in Cortland.
  • The Red Dragon trio of Annie Kase, Brynn Crocker and Amanda D'Amico each posted two scores to lead the offensive unit for Cortland, while four additional teammates collected a score apiece.
  • Morrisville goalkeeper, Morgan Dueber (Owego, N.Y.) collected 21 total stops in net, 14 in the opening half of play, as Cortland dominated in shots on the day 42-9.
