Box Score MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State College women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) decision Friday night to visiting Penn College on Drake Field in Morrisville.
The loss is the second straight for the Mustangs, who fall to 1-2 overall. Penn College picks up their first win for a 1-2-1 overall record, 1-0 in NEAC action.
The contest remained scoreless until the 70th minute, when Penn College received a break when Robyn Beddow was brought down by a Mustang defender in the box and was awarded a penalty kick opportunity.
Beddow converted the kick into the lower left corner of the net, just out of reach of Morrisville State keeper Angela Marriott (Peekskill, N.Y.), for the 1-0 Wildcat lead.
Marriott finished with 12 saves on the night in the Mustangs efforts.
Morrisville State returns to the field Sunday, traveling to SUNY Maritime.
