Box Score 2 MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State Volleyball team split their first day of NEAC Pool Play at Keuka College. The Mustangs dropped their first match of the afternoon 3-0 against Wells College. Morrisville returned to the win column in their second match defeating Cazenovia College 3-1 to improve their overall NEAC record to 5-3.
Emilee Niejadlik led the way offensively for Morrisville against Wells, picking up five kills.
Niejadlik kicked it up a notch against Cazenovia, recording nine kills. LaVere also stepped up for the Mustangs, recording 11 kills. LaVere also added three of the Mustangs' eight service aces.
With today's split, the Mustangs jump one spot in the NEAC standings. Morrisville currently sits fifth in the standings. The top six teams will qualify for the Conference Tournament.
Morrisville will take the court against Pool Play host, Keuka College on Sunday at 2 PM.
