Jake Orlando

SUNY Morrisville head football coach, Ed Raby, Jr., announced the addition of Jake Orlando as assistant head coach, serving as offensive coordinator and overseeing the quarterbacks beginning with the spring 2024 off-season.

Orlando is no stranger to the Mustang football program, having served a year as the running backs coach in 2019. During that season, Morrisville went 6-5 overall and earned a bid to the ECAC Division III Clayton Chapman Bowl.

Orlando continued his coaching career at the University of New Haven in the spring 2020, overseeing tight ends, quarterbacks and wide receivers during his time with the Chargers. While at New Haven, the Chargers went 26-8 overall across three seasons, including a 10-2 slate in 2021, while claiming the NE-10 title three times, while making three straight appearances in the NCAA Championship Tournament. The 2021 season also saw the Chargers reach the second round of the NCAA tournament.

Orlando came to Morrisville in 2019 via Syracuse University where he completed a year-long internship on the sidelines with the Division I Orange that culminated with a Camping World Bowl Championship.

Orlando also spent time as an assistant to the offensive coordinator, participating in daily quarterback meetings sand coordinating individual skill position drills. He also worked with the running backs and specialist coaches for two seasons.

The SUNY Cortland graduate with a bachelor's degree in sports management.
