Nate Dziedzic (Chittenango, N.Y.) and women's basketball junior
Anyssia Ingersoll (Mexico, N.Y.) the Mustangs of the Week for action ending February 8.
Dziedzic competed for the Mustangs in the Utica Blue & Orange Invite on Friday, posting a season best time of 3:27.08 for the 1200-meter leg of the distance medley relay. His time assisted the relay team to a sixth-place finish at the invite in the relay and was a team best performance to date this season.
Ingersoll posted her 1000
th collegiate point Saturday, becoming just the seventh player in the history of the program to reach the milestone mark.
On Friday, Ingersoll notched 27 points in the 44-60 loss to Potsdam, where she added five rebounds in the efforts, while shooting 63 percent from the floor. Saturday she added 29 more to her weekend totals in the 54-64 loss to Plattsburgh, completing the double-double performance with 14 rebounds. Her 1000
th collegiate point came in the second half of action against the Cardinals, one of her six three-pointers in the contest.
In all across the weekend, the junior averaged 28.0 points per game, 9.5 rebounds per game, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game, while shooting .478 from the floor and .473 from long range.
