CLINTON, N.Y. – SUNY Morrisville senior runner,
Elizabeth Lucason (Camden, N.Y.) set a new school record for 5K races Saturday at the Hamilton Invitational, leading the pack as she posted the individual win over the field of 44 competitors in Clinton.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- SUNY Morrisville senior cross country runner, Elizabeth Lucason (Camden, N.Y.) led the pack of 44 competitors as she collected her first win of the 2025 season in record breaking fashion.
- Lucason crossed in 18:05.5, setting a new record mark for the Mustangs in 5K races, leading the team to a third place overall finish with her 5:50 mile pace.
- Morrisville finished fourth overall as a team, with Mikaela Phu (Clyde, N.Y.) scoring second for the Mustangs with her time of 21:23.3.
- Laura Powers (Chittenango, N.Y.) followed with a time of 21:31.2 to score third.
- Sapphire Allen (New Berlin, N.Y.) and Alexa Evans (Pulaski, N.Y.) rounded out team scoring, finishing 26th and 30th with times of 24:22.4 and 24:36.6.
- The Mustangs accumulated 88 team points to finish fourth, just 11 points shy of second place.
WHAT'S NEXT:
- Morrisville will compete at the Cross Country Only Championships hosted by Hobart and William Smith Colleges Saturday.
