MIDDLETOWN, PA – The SUNY Morrisville women's basketball team dropped their first league loss of the season Saturday as they were outgunned by host Penn St. Harrisburg in Middletown.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Host Penn St. Harrisburg came out of the gates with guns blazing Saturday afternoon to race out to a 27-13 opening quarter lead over visiting SUNY Morrisville and didn't look back as they handed the Mustangs their first league loss of the season with an 88-65 United East final in Middletown, Pa.
• Morrisville had three post double figures in their efforts, including Cara Walker (Phelps, N.Y.) who led the Mustangs with 16 points, completing the double-double with 14 rebounds, while adding four assists and two steals to her totals.
• Brooke Hammersley (Weedsport, N.Y) added 15 to go along with her five boards, while Tayghan Doorley (Hornell, N.Y.) rounded out the scoring leaderboard with 14 points, hitting three from long range.
• After the opening quarter, Morrisville was able to play even with the Nittany Lions, but the deficit built up by the hosts in the first proved too much to overcome as they continued to hit from behind the arc to hand the Mustangs the loss.
